Welcome

Hi, my name is Ava! After discovering rowing while visiting colleges with my older brother, I did some research and learned that my hometown had a rowing team, the New Orleans Rowing Club. In 2022, I attended a learn to row class and was hooked! Although I enjoyed playing varsity softball and basketball for my school’s team, I quickly realized that being on the bayou and rowing is where I wanted to be. Whether it was at our boathouse, Head of the Hooch, Music City, Dogwood, or Juniors Nationals, it was evident that there were not a lot of rowers who looked liked me. So, here I am trying to do what I can to make a difference in the sport I love, one stroke at a time.
